Abstract
Bezoars are concretions formed by swallowing of some materials retained in the stomach. Diospyrobezoar is a type of bezoar due to the ingestion of persimmons.
Small bowel obstruction due to phytobezoar has been rarely reported in gastrectomized patient. Bezoar per se is not confined to surgical entity but we always face to surgical exploration when it associated with severe subjective symptom such as abdominal pain, vomiting, gastric ulcer or hematemesis.
We experienced 3 cases of small bowel obstruction by phytobezoar. This bezoar was made of persimmon.
